The path starts at Monterecchio, a well-kept mountain pasture, with all its restored alpine cottages, where the 3V Path, 10th Leg, Biegno – Maccagno (110) passes. Following the 3V Path, climb up behind the village from a widening at the beginning of the pasture with a magnificent view over Valle Veddasca and Lake Maggiore and reach Passo Fontanarossa. Continue along the path at a half slope line, go past path 144 to Monte Covreto on the right and path 110 to Passo Forcora on the left and reach the remains of the Mine. Then the path winds slightly up on the hillside of Monte Covreto and reaches the Italian-Swiss border and from here you will leave the path coming down from Monte Covreto on the right. The path goes downhill through the pastures, passing by Sasso Torricello and reaching Pian della Rogna where on the left it leaves path 144B leading to Nove Fontane and to Passo Forcora. The path leads down through the woods to Rifugio Alpetto where you can enjoy a nice view over the Swiss part of Lake Maggiore.
