The itinerary starts at the car park of the courthouse at Voldomino, at the Laghetto roundabout. Walk up to Upper Voldomino, turn into Via Asmara and reach Piazza Piave; go along Via Martiri as far as the junction with Via dei Lori, Via Montegrino and Via Gorizia. Turn into Via Montegrino, a street leading to the outskirts of Voldomino which continues upwards between meadows and thin woods as far as the junction to the road to Biviglione, which you leave on the left; go uphill as far as Località Tamagno and at the crossing take the SP23 Luino- Montegrino on the left. At the following hairpin turning, turn right into Via Aghée and in a few steps right again onto the forest road skirting the meadows at the edge of the wood and go along half slope until you walk past path 422 on the right. Now walk along a path until you cross path 422, go past it on the left and continue for a long way at half slope overlooking the valley below until you reach the junction to path 420 which leads to the small church of San Martino on the left. Walk straight ahead along the mule track as far as another junction with path 420, which leads to Voldomino on the right. The mule track goes on bypassing San Martino hill on the left until it reaches a junction on the left, in a small valley, along a trail of path (423A) leading you to the car park of Montegrino passing along Via Valghiaccio. However, if you continue on the mule track, you get to Via Sant'Ambrogio, where path 214, Alternative 3V, 7th leg, Bedero – Sette Termini crosses it. Take this path on the left as far as the junction with the SP23dirVia Vittorio Veneto and the Parish Church of Montegrino.
