Starting from the locality Alpe di Piero, this alternative path links path 115 Zenna – Passo Forcora with path 144B Passo Forcora – Alpetto and reduces the walking distance for those coming from Zenna, or from Monti di Pino, and heading for the Rifugio Alpetto or climbing up to Monte Covreto.
The path begins at Alpe di Piero and climbs straight uphill on Monte Covreto's side until it crosses path 144B, at about halfway between Nove Fontane and Pian della Rogna.
